Things to Do at Whispering Valley
At Whispering Valley, we embrace being delightfully ‘old‑school’. We encourage our guests to switch off from the digital world and reconnect with nature — and with the people who matter most. When you do, we promise you’ll leave feeling calmer, clearer, and deeply restored.
During your stay, you might:

Secluded, serene and beautifully untouched, Whispering Valley is where the bush meets the rainforest, creating a peaceful haven for both guests and wildlife. It’s the kind of place where you naturally slow down, breathe easier and reconnect with the world around you.
In the Air – Birdlife
Our unique blend of habitats attracts a wonderful mix of bush and rainforest birds. Many can be spotted right from your deck, while others reveal themselves as you wander the walking trails. To help you get the most out of your birdwatching, each cottage includes a birdlife guide.
On the Ground – Native Animals
Whispering Valley is home to an abundance of wildlife, from familiar marsupials to shy reptiles and nocturnal mammals. Wallabies are regular visitors at dawn and dusk, and koalas can often be found resting high in the eucalypts. Keep an eye out for echidnas, goannas and other quiet wanderers who share the property.
In the Water – Aquatic Life
The dam and surrounding wetlands support a healthy community of fish, frogs and yabbies. On still evenings, the gentle chorus of frogs bring the valley to life in a way that’s uniquely calming.
